Simple past

Il Simple Past si usa quando:

1. L’azione deve essersi svolta nel passato ed essere 
finita nel momento in cui si parla.

2.quando il tempo è definito

The PAST TENSE indicates 

1.when the time period has finished: "I went to Venice last Year"

2.when the time period is definite: "We visited Grandad last week."

3.with for, when the action is finished: "I worked with my friend for two months."

There are two types of past tense verbs:

regular verbs: add "ed" to the simple form

irregular verbs: don't add "ed"
